Documenters is a community-driven platform that connects citizens with local government meetings by recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers (Documenters) to attend and report publicly. The project goals included streamlining onboarding, enhancing workshop registration, improving management workflows, and optimizing reporting.

Too much digging: Important actions (filter, reporting, orientation) were buried deep in menus and steps.

Lack of context: Users couldn’t connect onboarding, workshops, and reporting to their progress.
Connecting decisions to outcomes: Managers and Documenters struggled to see how workshop registration, meeting attendance, and reporting linked to actual civic impact.
